Holiday Shopping

Happy Turkey Day!

We hope you're all enjoying your Thanksgiving with loved ones, and of course eating lots!

After Thanksgiving comes Black Friday, followed by Small Business Saturday...Cyber Monday...you get the idea. Knowing how to navigate all of the 'sales' can be a challenge in more ways than one.

The more we discuss these Holiday shopping days, the more we pick up on the fact that you either seem to love or hate them.

Below we have some tips and suggestions to help navigate the Holiday shopping chaos, and have some fun in the mix of it.

Holiday Shopping Guide
  1. If you decide to brave the Black Friday sales brick and mortar style, have an idea of what you're going for before you go. This way you won't find yourself over spending due to impulse buying.
  2. Another way to prevent impulse buys is to strictly bring cash...ahh the challenge.
  3. The stores are set up the way they are for a reason; lip gloss, jewelry, sunglasses, etc. are all near the checkouts for a reason. Buy 1 get 1 50% off when you don't NEED it, isn't a deal.
  4. Black Friday sales are also online...some items are strictly in store & some strictly online. Regardless, it's wise to check. And let's be honest, sometimes it's just better to shop from the comfort of your own home...with wine!
  5. Utilize your phone, this can come in handy for price comparison.
  6. Check the ads...coupons! But, read the fine print, some places only apply certain coupons at certain times.
  7. Braving the sales can be fun, we promise... Grab some family, friends, Starbucks, and hit the road. (Maybe coffee should be first, because... priorities
  8. Black Friday isn't necessarily the best day to buy big ticket items, it's possible to find a better deal as Christmas approaches. Do your research.
  9. If we had to pick any of these days to shop, it's hands down Small Business Saturday...support the local shops!
  10. The sales start before Friday, so start shopping... now.

  1. If something is on sale with a coupon that you don't have, ask the salesperson - often they have extras at the till, but won't volunteer one; you have to ask!
